Kawasaki Jet Ski

Kawasaki’s Jet Ski STX 160 for 2022 is here. And I know that you are excited to know all about it. Hence, I compared the 2022 Jet Ski STX 160 with the 2021 model and have compiled everything I found in this article just for you. What are the new features that the 2022 Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 160 has that will make your time on the water easier and more thrilling? Will it meet the expectations of its loyal customers? Will it leave everyone gasping in awe? Well, read on to know all about Kawasaki’s new 2022 version of the Jet Ski STX 160. But before we go into it, let us know a little bit about the company, Kawasaki.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., founded in 1896 by Shozo Kawasaki, is a Japanese corporation with headquarters in Tokyo. The company’s products aren’t limited to watercraft. It has produced railway vehicles, industrial equipment, defense equipment, and so on. Kawasaki was involved in a number of significant projects, including the development of the Boeing 767, Boeing 777, and Boeing 787. And watercraft is only one of the company’s many important products. Its knowledge and experience in the manufacture of a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and other items have aided the company in producing reliable jet skis.

Kawasaki built the first commercially viable watercraft in 1972. The first jet skis they produced were stand-up machines that could only transport one person. In 1986, the business released its first sit-down model. For over 15 years, Kawasaki was the only maker of watercraft.

2022 Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 160

Every year jet ski enthusiasts wait for the new versions of Kawasaki’s jet ski models. Kawasaki produces the most expensive models of jet skis. Hence, the expectations from the company are also high. And people were excited to see what new additions the 2022 Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 160 would have. While they mostly succeed in meeting the expectations of their customers and jet ski enthusiasts, they failed to do so this year. This has disappointed not only the fans of Kawasaki but everyone who loves to jet ski.

The 2022 Kawasaki Jet SkiSTX 160 is, as mentioned earlier, a huge disappointment. It doesn’t come with a wow factor; rather it has some subtle changes. By subtle changes I mean there is really nothing new in this new model apart from its colour and the increased price. The Jet Ski STX 160 is available in crystal white/ pearl neon yellow colour and its MSRP is $10,899. The 2021 Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 160 was available in Gelcoat crystal white and sunbeam yellow. And its MSRP was $9,799.

The engine has not changed, the new STX 160 uses the same16-valve 1498cc four-cylinder four-stroke engine.

It has a fuel capacity of 20.6 gallons which is great but the old model also had the same fuel capacity.

When we compare the 2021 Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 160 and the 2022 Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 160, there is nothing remarkable about the new version. As I mentioned earlier, everything apart from the colour and the price is the same. This has come as a huge disappointment for everyone who was looking forward to it. After going through all the changes or the lack thereof, it is recommended to buy a used 2021 Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 160 instead of the 2022 model as they have the same features, and buying a 2021 model would be easier on your wallet while providing the same performance.

While the 2022 Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 160 has nothing new to offer, it also has nothing bad to offer. The new colour is really beautiful and makes the jet ski look more classy. While there is nothing bad about the 2022 Jet Ski STX 160, a new colour doesn’t make it worthy of recommendation.
